Los nominados a los Premios Oscar 2024 que van a competir por la estatuilla se dieron a conocer este martes. La ceremonia de anuncio de los candidatos a los galardones que entrega Academia de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas de Hollywood dejó algunas certezas: Oppenheimer y Barbie, que en 2023 acapararon la taquilla mundial, figuran entre las candidatas a mejor película.
También aspiran a lograr la estatilla a mejor película «Maestro», «Vidas Pasadas», «Pobres criaturas», «Zona de interés», «Ficción Americana», «Anatomía de una caída», «Los que se quedan» y «Flowers of the Killer Moon».
En la categoría de Mejor actor protagónico figuran Cillian Murphy, por Oppenheimer y Bradley Cooper, por Maestro. Mientras que como mejor actriz principal aparecen, entre otras, Emma Stone, Annette Benning y Sandra Hüler.
Los actores Zazie Beetz y Jack Quaid fueron los encargados de conducir el evento en el Samuel Goldwyn Theater de Beverly Hills, que se transmitió en vivo.
Oppenheimer es la película más nominada del año, con 13 nominaciones en total, incluidas Mejor Película, Mejor Director y tres nominaciones de actuación. El podio lo completan Pobres Criaturas, con 11 nominaciones, y «Killers of the Flower Moon», con 10 nominaciones.
La votación final está programada del 22 al 27 de febrero y va a culminar con la 96ª entrega de los Premios de la Academia el 10 de marzo en el Dolby Theatre de Hollywood, Los Ángeles, California, con la conducción del comediante Jimmy Kimmel.
